This section describes how to add a printer on a Windows workstation which sends the documents to the OptimiCapture Virtual Spooler.


To configure the printer:

  1. Open Device and Printers from the Start menu.
  2. Click on Add printer


  1. System opens the Add Printer window. Click on The printer that I want isn't listed.


  1. Enter the OptimiDoc address https://eu.optimidoc.cloud/Ipp in the field in Select a shared printer by name.



For using specific spooler follow instructions from chapter How to find URL to specific Virtual spooler


  1. Click Next button, system detects the OptimiCapture and asks for driver selection.
  2. Select driver and Click Ok button.


  1. System installs new printer and presents confirmation window. Click Next.


  1. Click on Finish button.


  1. Open Printer properties.


  1. Click Ports tab and Configure Port...


  1. Select Use the specified user account and enter email us a user name and password to OptimiCapture.
